Producing powertrain components requires more than just casting capabilities; it demands a deep understanding of thermodynamics and mechanical stress. Feiya combines advanced metallurgy with precision engineering to ensure that every aluminum component meets the rigorous demands of modern two-wheeled vehicles.
Every motorcycle brand has a unique soul, defined by its engine's performance and look. Feiya offers deep customization services for OEMs and aftermarket brands developing distinct powertrains. Whether you are upgrading an existing design for higher performance or recreating a vintage component, our engineering team supports your parts motorcycle engine development from concept to casting. We utilize 3D Scanning and CAD modeling to modify standard designs, allowing for specialized features that improve speed, cooling, and brand identity.
Customization Capabilities Table:
| Customization Area | Feiya OEM Technical Solutions |
| Performance Tuning | Big Bore & Compression: We can modify cylinder block molds to accommodate oversized bores (big bore kits) or adjust the combustion chamber dome shape in cylinder heads to increase compression ratios for racing applications. |
| Cooling Optimization | Fin Geometry: For air-cooled engines, we customize the cooling fin density and depth. We can engineer deeper, thinner fins to maximize heat dissipation surface area while maintaining the casting integrity needed for the parts motorcycle engine structure. |
| Lightweighting | Material Upgrades: To improve power-to-weight ratios, we offer lightweight aluminum alloys or magnesium-blend options. We can also redesign structural ribbing (via topology optimization) to reduce mass in crankcase covers without sacrificing strength. |
| Retro & Vintage | Reverse Engineering: For classic bike restoration markets, we can take a physical sample of an obsolete part (even a broken one), 3D scan it, repair the digital model, and create new molds to reproduce vintage cylinder heads or covers that are no longer in production. |
| Brand Identity | Cast-in Logos: The engine is the visual centerpiece of a bike. We can CNC machine your specific brand logo or pattern directly into the die-casting mold for clutch covers, stator covers, and valve covers, ensuring permanent, premium branding. |
| Surface Styling | Custom Finishes: We offer high-temp powder coating, diamond-cut fin edges (for that classic contrast look), chrome plating, or ceramic coating services to match the specific aesthetic style of your motorcycle model. |
At Feiya, we employ a rigorous, data-driven manufacturing process. We treat the engine parts of a motorcycle not just as metal components, but as precision instruments that must endure high RPMs and extreme weather conditions without failure.
Over the years, we have provided long-term and stable cylinder head OEM manufacturing services to many motorcycle brands (including listed companies), and have become the largest motorcycle cylinder head manufacturer in Yueqing City, China.
We select the method based on the part's function. For high-volume, thin-walled components like crankcase covers and valve covers, we use High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) to ensure speed and surface finish. For complex structural parts like cylinder heads that require internal cooling jackets, we often use Gravity Casting or Low-Pressure Die Casting. This prevents internal porosity and ensures the engine parts of a motorcycle can withstand high combustion pressures.
Yes, this is a core part of our OEM service. Many aftermarket brands partner with us to produce big bore cylinders that increase engine displacement. We can modify the cylinder sleeve thickness and cooling fin geometry to handle the extra heat. We machine the bore to precise tolerances to accept larger pistons, providing a turnkey solution for your performance top-end rebuild product lines.
A warped cylinder head is a common failure caused by residual stress in the aluminum. Feiya mitigates this through strictly controlled T6 heat treatment (Solution & Aging). This process relieves internal stress and stabilizes the microstructure of the aluminum. Combined with our precision CNC milling of the deck surface, we ensure reliable flatness that prevents head gasket failure and compression loss.
We offer both solutions depending on your market needs. We can cast aluminum blocks with integrated cast iron cylinder liners (sleeves) for extreme durability and ease of maintenance. Alternatively, for high-performance racing applications requiring lightweighting, we supply blocks ready for Nikasil plating (Nickel Silicon Carbide), which offers superior hardness and oil retention for high-RPM engines.
Overheating is the enemy of air-cooled engines. Our engineering team optimizes the cooling fin design using thermal simulation software. We ensure the fins are cast deep and thin to maximize surface area. We also use high-purity aluminum alloys with excellent thermal conductivity to rapidly transfer heat away from the combustion chamber, preventing engine seizure under heavy loads.
Why do some high-performance engines not need iron liners? The secret lies in the alloy.
·The Science:Hypereutectic aluminum alloys contain a high percentage of silicon (>12%). As the metal cools during casting, hard silicon crystals precipitate out, forming a distinct microstructure.
·The Benefit:These hard crystals act as the primary bearing surface for the piston rings, drastically reducing wear. Feiya uses precise temperature control during casting to ensure these silicon particles are evenly distributed, creating durable parts of engine of motorcyclethat are lightweight yet harder than steel.
An engine is essentially an air pump. Its power depends on volumetric efficiency(VE)—how effectively it can inhale air and exhale exhaust.
·The Manufacturing Impact:The shape of the intake ports and exhaust ports in the cylinder head dictates airflow.
·Our Precision:Rough casting surfaces cause air turbulence, reducing VE. Feiya employs CNC porting or high-quality mold finishes to ensure smooth airflow paths. This maximizes the air-fuel mixture entering the combustion chamber, directly translating to better throttle response and higher horsepower.
Tribology is the science of friction, wear, and lubrication. In a cylinder block, the surface texture is critical.
·Plateau Honing: We don't just make the bore smooth; we perform plateau honing. This process creates a specific "cross-hatch" pattern (deep valleys to hold oil) while shaving off the sharp peaks (plateaus for the rings to slide on).
·The Result:This ensures adequate lubrication retention to prevent piston seizure, while maintaining a tight seal for maximum compression. It is a critical step in manufacturing high-longevity parts of engine of motorcycle.
Unlike cars, many motorcycles rely solely on air to cool down. The efficiency of the cooling fins is governed by thermal conductivity.
·Defect Risk:Internal porosity (air bubbles) in the casting acts as an insulator, trapping heat and creating "hot spots" that can warp the head.
·The Solution:Feiya’s Vacuum Die Casting process eliminates porosity, ensuring a continuous metal path for heat to travel from the combustion source to the tips of the fins, where it is dissipated into the wind.
