The YZ108 Aluminum Body Hydraulic Release Bearing is designed to address the primary weakness of modern OEM clutch systems: the plastic slave cylinder. While plastic is cost-effective for manufacturers, it is prone to cracking, warping, and flexing under the high pressure and heat of aggressive driving. The YZ108 replaces this vulnerable housing with a precision-machined aluminum body.  This rigid construction eliminates the "ballooning" effect common in plastic cylinders, ensuring that every ounce of hydraulic pressure is converted directly into clutch movement for a crisper, more responsive pedal feel.

Beyond structural rigidity, the aluminum body offers superior thermal management. The clutch system generates significant friction heat, which can boil hydraulic fluid in a plastic housing, leading to fade. The aluminum alloy of the YZ108 acts as a heat sink, effectively drawing thermal energy away from the hydraulic fluid and the bearing internals. Combined with hard-anodized internal bores for wear resistance and high-temperature Teflon seals, the YZ108 provides the durability and consistency required for modified vehicles or heavy-duty towing applications where standard composite units frequently fail.
