The DY242 Automatic Vapor Recovery Nozzle is designed to deliver a seamless and safe refueling experience while meeting strict Stage II environmental standards. This model prioritizes operational reliability, combining a robust vapor capture system with a highly sensitive automatic shut-off mechanism. For busy fueling stations, the risk of fuel spills is a major liability; the DY242 utilizes a precision Venturi sensing port at the tip of the spout. As soon as the rising fuel level blocks this air intake, the internal diaphragm trips instantly, cutting off the flow. This mechanical reflex is calibrated to prevent "spit-back" and overfilling, protecting both the customer and the station forecourt from contamination.
Simultaneously, the DY242 operates as an active environmental guardian. Through its integrated coaxial vapor path, the nozzle recovers gasoline fumes displaced from the vehicle's tank and returns them to underground storage. This reduces the release of hazardous Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. The nozzle is encased in a durable, replaceable scuff guard available in various colors for fuel grade identification, protecting the vehicle finish from scratches and the nozzle body from impact damage during daily use.
