Model ID: DY313-1
The DY313-1 cylinder head highlights our specialized capability in camshaft journal line boring, a process critical for the longevity and performance of overhead cam engines. Unlike standard drilling which can lead to slight misalignment between supports, Feiya utilizes dedicated horizontal line-boring machines. This equipment machines all camshaft bearing journals in a single, continuous pass. This "single-setup" approach guarantees absolute concentricity and alignment across the entire length of the head. By eliminating even microscopic axial deviations, we prevent the camshaft from binding or flexing during rotation, which is the leading cause of premature bearing failure and power loss.
Beyond alignment, our focus is on the surface tribology of the bearing bore. We control the cutting speed and feed rates to produce a specific surface finish that promotes hydrodynamic lubrication. The resulting texture is smooth enough to minimize friction but retains the microscopic "valleys" necessary to hold a protective oil film. We also precisely verify the journal diameter to ensure the oil clearance falls exactly within factory tolerances. This precision machining ensures that oil pressure remains stable throughout the valve train, preventing metal-to-metal contact and ensuring the engine operates smoothly even at maximum RPM.
