The DY54 High Heat Resistant Vapor Nozzle Seals are the critical sealing components required for the safe and efficient operation of vapor recovery systems in extreme environments. Vapor recovery nozzles are subject to unique stresses: they must maintain a vacuum-tight seal while exposed to volatile fuel vapors, UV radiation, and—most destructively—high ambient temperatures. Standard rubber seals in these nozzles often swell, harden, or crack when surface temperatures on the pavement and at the pump exceed $60^\circ\text{C}$ ($140^\circ\text{F}$), leading to vapor leaks and environmental non-compliance.

To solve this, the DY54 seals are manufactured using Premium FKM (Fluorocarbon) or FFKM (Perfluoroelastomer) compounds.  These materials are chosen for their exceptional thermal-oxidative stability, allowing the seals to remain flexible and effective at continuous service temperatures that would cause standard Nitrile or EPDM seals to fail.

Beyond heat resistance, the DY54 features a low-friction surface treatment that prevents the "sticking" common in vapor bellows and internal valves during hot weather. This ensures that the vapor recovery path opens and closes smoothly every time the nozzle is handled. These seals are also optimized for aromatic hydrocarbon resistance, ensuring they do not degrade when exposed to high-ethanol or high-benzene fuel blends.
