This cylinder head is specifically engineered to accommodate oversized intake and exhaust valves, addressing the needs of high-output engine builds where standard airflow is the limiting factor. Installing larger valves increases the "curtain area"—the annular opening through which air enters the cylinder—but it presents significant manufacturing challenges that Feiya has mastered. The most critical area is the inter-valve bridge, the narrow strip of aluminum between the intake and exhaust seats. We utilize a high-density casting process to ensure this thin section remains structurally sound and resistant to cracking, even when machined to accommodate wider valve diameters.
The performance of an oversized valve setup relies entirely on the precision of the seat machining. Feiya employs advanced CNC seat-and-guide machines to perform multi-angle valve jobs and throat correction cuts. We open up the bowl area directly beneath the valve seat to match the larger diameter, ensuring that the airflow is not restricted by a "step" in the casting. This seamless transition from the port runner to the valve seat improves the discharge coefficient of the port, allowing the engine to breathe freely at high RPMs. This head provides the perfect, robust platform for big-valve conversions without compromising reliability.
