In the realm of high-performance engine building, the quality of machining is just as critical as the casting itself. This product line focuses on delivering the superior surface specifications required by modern race-tuned engines. A key feature of our process is the deck surface finishing. Unlike standard commercial milling which may leave coarse feed lines, we utilize Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) cutting inserts to achieve an ultra-smooth surface roughness (typically Ra 0.4μm or better). This mirror-like finish is essential for the proper sealing of Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gaskets, which are prone to leakage on rougher surfaces under high cylinder pressures.
Beyond the deck, our machining protocol addresses the dynamic stability of the valve train. We employ a specialized technique for the simultaneous machining of the valve seats and valve guides. By cutting the seat profile while piloting off the guide bore in a single operation, we guarantee absolute concentricity. This prevents "valve wobble" at high RPMs, ensuring the valve lands perfectly squarely on the seat every time. This precision minimizes valve train friction and wear, allowing the engine to operate safely at higher redlines while maintaining peak compression efficiency.
