Model ID: DY68-C
The DY68-C underscores Feiya’s dedication to the microscopic details of engine performance through our precision valve guide honing process. While many manufacturers simply ream valve guides to size—a process that can leave the bore slightly tapered or oval—we utilize vertical diamond honing mandrels. This abrasive machining process corrects the bore geometry to a near-perfect cylinder, ensuring consistent clearance between the valve stem and the guide along its entire length. This geometric perfection is critical for preventing "valve rock," where the valve wobbles during operation, which is the primary cause of oil seal failure and accelerated seat wear.
Beyond dimensional accuracy, our honing process is engineered to optimize tribology (friction management). A perfectly smooth guide would actually fail because it cannot retain oil. Our diamond honing stones create a specific, controlled cross-hatch surface pattern inside the guide bore. These microscopic valleys act as reservoirs, holding a thin film of oil that lubricates the valve stem during its rapid reciprocating motion. This significantly reduces friction and heat generation, preventing the valve from seizing even under high thermal loads. The result is a cylinder head that offers reduced oil consumption, smoother valve actuation, and a significantly extended service life for top-end components.
